How to change the system color in SAP?
Usually when working with SAP systems there is a development system, where you build applications and create programs. Than you have also test or so called “quality” system where you transport the new developments and test them with full set of data. At the end when the testing is successful you transport the new developments into the productive system, which is actually the real system where you record all your transactions.
One very easy, but very useful trick in SAP is to change the color of the system in order to differentiate the productive, test and development system on first look. This can prevent you from the risk to execute something in the productive system instead in quality.
When you enter SAP system in the upper right part of the screen there a icon menu with different options. The last button presents on colorful screen.
Pressing on it leads you to the Menu “Customize Local Layout”. You can use also the shortcut Alt+F12.
In the menu choose “Options” and than Visual Design>Color Settings>Colors in System.
There you can select the color theme for the system between predefined options – SAP green, SAP red etc. You can define also your own colors by choosing Define Custom Colors option. There you can use the scale “hue shift value (degrees)” to change the colors.
You can put different color theme for every system client if you use the client concept in your system landscape.
In the same menu Options you can change also the whole theme in SAP including colors, fonts and other predefined visual settings.
Have fun with colors in SAP!

In the old SAP GUI, when it included both PRD and NQA system, I can set up 2 different color to differentiate them, however, after the GUI change to latest released, I cannot find where to set up.
Hello Kevin, did you try with Alt+F12 and than options?
Thx Admin, yes, tried before, but it changed color for both PRD and NQA system, cannnot differentiate them for different color.
